Andrea C. Yoga
Andrea’s first experience of Yoga was in Colombia, when her mother took her to a class at the age of fourteen. Her background in ballet and contemporary dance meant that she found the physical aspects of Yoga familiar, but she had never experienced that deep sense of quiet joy and inner peace before. As time went by, she learned that Yoga is more about developing as an individual, not only through mindful movement, but also through tranquil introspection that helps you find your centre in a whole new way.
During her university years she practiced Hatha Yoga regularly and continued to explore different movement practices. She moved to London and began studying and practicing Yoga more systematically. Yoga had by now become a fundamental part of her life. The benefits she reaps from her practice are not only experienced in her own body, mind and spirit, they also boost her performance in all areas of life and enrich the relationships she establishes at a day to day level.
Teaching has been a passion in Andrea’s life for several years, and since she decided to take on yoga teaching as a vocation, she has been sharing the benefits and the joy she finds in this wonderful system. Her caring and gentle nature comes across in her teaching style. With her calm and straightforward approach, Andrea’s classes are inclusive and accessible to anyone.
Andrea completed her 390 hour Yoga Teacher Training Diploma with Mimi Kuo-Deemer and Jean Hall at triyoga in London. In addition to her course tutors, she has studied with Aki Omori, Jeff Phenix and Joo Teoh.
